Selecting your club

There presently seems to be a trend towards Martial arts groups using the word 'Karate', without actually practicing Karate! Many Kickboxing groups in particular use the word 'Karate' when promoting themselves but do not belong to the National Governing Body for Karate, do not enter Karate competitions and do not practice Kata; the backbone of Karate.
